Shine Farms

Shine Farms is a queer, woman owned farm run by besties Jes & Nicole! We farm because we love to cook and feed folks, so at Shine you'll find all kinds of delicious veggies and eggs from our flock of ladies! We employ no-till farming practices, utilizing cover cropping, organic mulches and the rotation of our laying hens to prioritize the health of our soil. All inputs we use are permitted on organic farms and we don't use any harmful sprays or synthetic fertilizers. We are first generation farmers, working to steward the land and cultivate community as ethically and responsibly as possible. We farm on land in Mechanicsville (Powhatan and Chickahominy land) collectively managed by us, Hazel Witch Farm, and Real Roots Food Systems.
